Get Regular Eye Exams
It is recommended that the adults more than 40 should receive controls once every 2 years. Those more than 50 should do it once per annum. If you doubt that it is necessary or not, should know to you that certain diseases can damage much during this period of time. And for serious conditions like the glaucoma, the frequency of the examination must be as high as every 3 months!
How examinations are made – During a test, ’smelled diagram of eye (containing large alphabets going to small) is shown at a distance of 20 feet. The patient is invited to identify the letters. If somebody doesn’t know how to read, the symbols are employed – that they must match with the charts give them. For children, HOTV test is employed. The letters are shown on the wall and they are given the charts which they must match with the letters.
More a new technology is also employed to detect problems of eye, such as the module of retinal sweeping numerical of eye. It gives a précis, the automated image of the blood-vessels in the eye and it is fast and comfortable for the patient. It provides necessary essential information outside to detect the various diseases like the diabetes and the glaucoma.
